This strikingly contemporary chair was originally designed for Japanese restaurant Oki-Nami in Brighton in 2008. The brief was to create furnishings that reflected the attention to detail that defines Japanese craftsmanship, while also being suitably comfortable and durable to withstand heavy use in a restaurant environment.

Nazanin Kamali designed the interior of the restaurant and worked with Case to create the tables, chairs and stools. The Oki-Nami Chair was Shortlisted for the Restaurant and Bar Design Awards in 2009. Its curving frame is crafted from a choice of solid oak or walnut and features a sleek, leather-upholstered seat pad.
